In 2003 an effort was launched to assist the need of owners of the treasured classic fiberglass cruisers such as the Chris Craft Commanders, to be able to locate parts that were new, used, or in some cases "NOS" or New Old Stock from all over the world. As these cruisers grow older, good useable parts are becoming more and more difficult to locate. Fast forward to 2008, and the list of items continues at a steady pace to grow consistently, both in the Wanted and For Sale categories. Not wanting this idea to go stagnant, two main things needed to happen.
What's new in 2008??
What you are witnessing here is just one of those ideas. A fresh "re-launch" if you will. A new look, and feel of the old Commanderswap.com site, as well as some new perks. Some of these perks include the following:
Text Only Ads Remain The Same:
As always in the past, if you are a registered member of the Chris Craft Commander Club (CCCC) www.commanderclub.com Text only ads are free of charge for a period of three months, with the option of renewal for another at no charge. You will be emailed 10 days before your ad expires.
Picture/Text Ads! (NEW!)
Starting in January, we will now be offering the availability of picture ads for a charge. Pictures must be limited to two per ad and not exceed 300k each in size ( we can resize any pictures for you at no additional cost). The new format will have a summary page for each category showing what's available, and when it expires. The cost for this service is $5.00 per ad with the same time frame as text only ads. ( 3 months with the option to renew at no charge.)
EBAY LISTINGS NOW ALLOWED!!(NEW!)
Get the word out and raise your bidding price by marketing with us. Link your ebay listings that are content related for a one time charge of $5.00( for 1 to 5 listings) The linked ads will run until the auctions end! Should you re-list your auction, we will re-link the new listing(s) at no additional cost up to 3 times.
NOT just limited to Chris Crafts any more!!
That's right. Commanderswap.com is now open to all makes and models 25 years old or older. However charges will apply to Non Commander related items. Text Only: $3.50 and Picture ads: $7.00 each. Non Commander related items will follow the same scheduling system with one exception. 3 months, with one 3 month renewal, after which the owner of the ad will be billed for a new ad should they decide to renew again.
Payment and terms (If applicable):
Payment is due in full before the ad is posted. You will be given a confirmation number as your "contract" for the ad. We will accept payment via good personal check, Paypal, or money order.
